Rysa Organic

Rysa Organic is the private label of Aspar Ecoventures, a social enterprise that was started with an aim to promote sustainable and eco-friendly products.

Circa 2013, Subbu is telling Parvez, his ex-colleague and buddy since 1999, that he has to travel a minimum of 6 km towards Indiranagar to pick up organic groceries and veggies, and more often than not, doesn’t get what he’s looking to buy.

Parvez responds with a ‘Do you think you’re the only one to do so’? Suddenly, It hit both of them that there’s a good chance that many more people in and around Central Bangalore may require genuine organic produce and are unable to get them just because there is no organic store there. And so, the idea of a multi brand retail organic store in Central Bangalore was born!

Organicz4u became the first organic store in Frazer Town in April 2014, and is still the only exclusive organic store which caters to 6 or 7 pin codes that surround us geographically.

Organicz4u has provided an avenue for safe and healthy food to consumers by having strong tie-ups with organic farmers and farmer producing companies along with major organic brands. You can learn more about this by visiting our website www.organicz4u.com

The responsibility to offer sustainable products in the personal care space was identified in October 2019, and from February 2020, AEV took shape. It started then as one variety of bamboo toothbrushes and cotton swabs under the brand AEV. With a vision to keep replacing plastic with sustainable alternatives, AEV is now a leading player in the retail space with 26 SKUs and 4 new products in beta stage. AEV products are currently available in over 150 retail outlets in Bangalore, mostly organic stores. You can learn more about AEV by visiting our website www.aevindia.com

Circa 2021 – The Harvest Festival nears. With AEV and Organicz4u having established themselves as recollectible brands, an opportunity to offer genuine but superior quality products with a better price proposition beckons the duo. On January 14, 2021 RYSA was launched to fructify this very proposition. RYSA – loosely translates as Laughter, and the duo hopes that the clean food range of RYSA will bring laughter and joy into peoples lives. RYSA also connects us with our roots i.e., the Vedas which are the building blocks of our ancient civilization.

RYSA is R – Rig, Y – Yajur, S- Saam, A – Atharva. The Vedas are considered the oldest written word of civilized humans, the very first recorded attempt to keep humans clean, free from infection and disease, in thought and in action, thereby leading to a healthy life. RYSA will strive to offer clean healthy food at affordable cost in line with our tradition.

Why Rysa?

Truer words were never spoken. The fast-growing urban lifestyle has taken a toll on our individual and familial health. Erratic eating habits, lack of time, stress at work and elsewhere, all has meant that the traditional kitchen has lost its significance in our minds! The added advantage of modern medicine means quick fixes are ready at hand and awaiting your call. Hence, the urge to seek health in gymnasiums, yoga rooms, retreats, hospitals etc. is growing ever so more. Whilst these are important, they are surely a notch below our kitchens

At RYSA we strive to be more than just another storefront. We care deeply about the communities we are a part of. RYSA is a genuine effort to contribute towards the welfare of our entire ecosystem encompassing our customers, neighborhood, employees, suppliers and, of course, the planet. At RYSA, we believe in promoting individual and familial health in our communities through organic, natural and sustainable products, whilst acting sustainably and ethically as a business.

RYSA works directly with local Farmers and Farmer Producer Organisations. All RYSA products are sourced locally and cultivated organically. These are farmers who we have worked with in various capacities over the past 7 years. Naturally, the relationships built ensure that quality is of utmost importance with RYSA.

Why Organic?

No Plan-et B: At a very basic level, we believe organic is the most sustainable way to farm and that organic, natural food and products are the best for our health as well as that of the planet.

One Family: Organic agriculture boils down to respecting our soil – the resource we cannot feed ourselves without. The goal of organic agriculture is not to produce more or produce quickly. The goal is to improve soil health, produce more nutritious food, increase biodiversity, protect wildlife and steer clear of the harmful pesticides that undermine these goals. When pesticides are avoided, microorganisms thrive and contribute to the food chain. Since all organisms involved in the food chain are engaged, the entire ecosystem is engaged in providing food to society.

The Infallible Pesticide: Chemicals such as synthetic fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides are widely used in conventional agriculture and residues remain on and in the produce/ food we consume. These cannot be removed completely either by washing or by cooking. Hence, they find their way into our digestive system where they are a known cause of various harmful, long term, and in some cases, irreversible diseases.

More Bang for the buck: Organic produce are known have far more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally-grown counterparts. People with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives may find their symptoms reduce or even disappear when they adopt a completely organic lifestyle.

Traceability: Choosing organic means that you are supporting farming practices with a more traceable production process and you will always know what’s in your food. Organic standards prohibit GM crops and ingredients, hydrogenated fats, and controversial artificial foods colours and preservatives.
